Im Addicted.. (thats bad)

My criteria for a new bike were pretty basic, lightweight was the only real one.. oh and dont break the bank.

Pretty much the most affordable lightest bike available is the Scott Addict.. No way I would pay $7k (on special for last years model ,$10k new), so off to Trademe and came across a 2008 Black R1 frame on full dura ace for $4k including pedals and carbon bottle holders, nice.. After mosing for a couple of days I laid down the cash and the bike arrived.



First day I smashed 1min 15 seconds off my Makara road hill climb time from the week before and just over 1 minute off my previous PB, this bike flys up hill.

Was going to write some sort of bike review, but this is all I could come up with.

Its fast...

Heres a piccy sporting some race wheels loaned courtesy of Joel for my Taupo Classic attempt this year. As seen here including 2 bottle holders, pedals and a wired speedo, it weighs 7.22kg (About 6.6kg without all that stuff) thats 1.7kg lighter than my Giant with Ksyrians SL's.

Will report back after my smashing in the Taupo Classic this weekend, at least when I get smashed I cant blame the bike, well I will, but I have no right too.
