12 hours Singles and Riding Jacko

Short one from me:

Got told to buck up or lose my Bushlove team spot, and so thought I'd head out to redeem myself at the weekend's 12 hour. Having done the event in a singlespeed international all-star team last year (1 skinny Pom, 1 brickhouse Welshman, 1 skinny Asian and a token Kiwi), it was put forth that it would be a good idea to try another singlespeed team.....


Team reshuffles meant that our singles team was bolstered by 2 Bushlove members vying for young stud honors, but let's face it, Jack0 has larger shanks. The rest of the day was spent trying to crack 19-minute laps, I came close at 19:30. Abusing the Burkes Mixed team of 2 guys (Pinky and Liam), and 2 girls (Rachel and Clive) was also amusing throughout.

We trailed 5th for what seemed like the entire race by 5 minutes or so before Jack declined his 3rd consecutive 19 minute night lap, leaving us respectably in sixth. Of course by then I was dry, and already had a beer in my hand.
